Yin and Yang is the basic concept of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Health body should be at the certain level of the equilibrium of Yin and Yang.  Our body is strongly influenced by the environment.  Autumn is Yin within Yang. Winter is Yin within Yin.  We need to cope with the change of the season. 

If you have dry eyes, red eyes, emotional stress and sleeping problem, here is the Chinese tea may help you.  Long Yan (Longan fruit) Qi Zi (Lycium Fruit – Chinese wolfberry)  tea can nourish the eyes, calm the mind and improve sleep condition.

You can get the ingredient easily in any Asian supermarket.

Ingredient

  • Dried Long Yan (Logan fruit)(龍眼乾) with shell - 6 piece

  • Gou Qi Zi (Lycium fruit)(枸杞子) - 5 grams

  • Hong Zao (red Date)(紅棗) without pit - 4 pieces

  • Ju Hua (chrysanthemum flower)(菊花) - 2 pieces

  • Optional : Red tea leaf (紅茶葉) - 6 gram

Cooking Steps

  1. Wash Long Yan (Logan fruit), Hong Zao (red Date) and Gou Qi Zi (Lycium fruit)

  2. Put Long Yan (with shell) and Hong Zao into 1 litres cold water and cook it for over 30 minutes.

  3. Start with high heat until water is boiled.

  4. Turn to medium or low heat

  5. Pour the decocted hot liquid into a cup with Gou Qi Zi, Ju Hua and red tea.

  6. Cover the cup with a lid.

  7. Let it sit for few minutes

  8. Enjoy your tea
